In February 2021, PipeMac Technologies Ltd delivered The PipeMac X30 system to Chesterton Farm in Cirencester to The Clancy Group who were working to install 3.8 kilometres of gravity sewer for Thames Water.

This was our Mark 1 kit put to work laying DN600 and DN900 concrete pipes at depths varying from 1.4m to 5.0m. The system demonstrated its health and safety credentials from day 1 – in the words of Clancy’ Project Manager James Maguire “The PipeMac system totally removes the need for a person in the trench, which is a huge win for us in terms of health and safety on site”.

The Clancy team together with Thames Water engineers were particularly impressed with the performance of the X30 Compactor attachment – “the quick hitch mounted rotatable compactor allows the pipe bedding material to be poured around the pipe and compacted ensuring exceptional bedding for the laid pipe”.

Our patented compaction system, brings a consistency and reliability to the bedding and compaction process. The quality of the installation afforded by the system provides a much higher level of assurance for both the Client and the Contractor.
The Clancy Group’s welcoming approach to innovation and adoption of new technologies afforded us the opportunity to put the system to work in a tough environment, working with a range of pipes and trench depths. The subsequent endorsements and fulsome praise of the system, is further confirmation that The PipeMac system represents a forever change in how gravity pipes will be laid in the future.
