The PipeBot
Specification and Operation
Controlled from the lead excavator cab, a radio controlled PipeBot travels within the pipe with two cameras and a pipe laser target on board. The cameras are linked to a viewing monitor mounted in the lead excavator cab.
The front PipeBot camera views the incoming pipe to be connected to ensure correct alignment prior to connection and also monitors the connectionduring and after the process, to verify a complete and correct joint has been achieved.
Once the pipe to pipe connection has been made, the excavator driver travels the robot up to the near end / socket end of the pipe and deploys the rear camera to view the pipe laser target and can then adjust the end of the pipe so as the laser beam is centred on the crosshairs.
The PipeBot can be placed in and removed from the pipe by means of a small attachment to the end of the PipeHandler pipe carrying beam
PipeBot battery life is 72 hours
The Compactor Attachment
Specification and Operation
Compatible with excavators from 13 to 20 Tonne.
Hydraulically powered reciprocating pole compactor to simultaneously compact pipe bedding and side fill shingle with a one | minute pass each side of the pipe.
No bedding required beneath the pipe before connection, all shingle is poured after the pipe has been connected and aligned with the pipe laser by thelead excavator - the compactor will do the rest, forcing the placed shingle underneath the pipe to form a fully compacted bed while simultaneously compacting the side fill zone. Compaction density of 95% is assured.
Simple two hydraulic hose quick release coupler connection to the excavator breaker circuit.
If required, twin compactor pole adaptor available to facilitate simultaneous compaction about both sides of smaller/ lighter pipes.
The Pipe Hander Attachment
Specification and Operation
Compatible with excavators from 18 to 30 Tonne.
Simple connection — Top Frame fits to standard Quick Hitches
